My Work
I have loved writing since third grade - probably before that, but that is how far back I recall. Laura Ingalls, of course, but also Mark Twain, Jules Verne and my all time favorite author, Shakespeare. Yes, I was reading William by age seven and love his comedies most of all his works, with his histories a close second.
I wanted to create that same thrill for stories in young readers, ones who weren't so interested in dead English guys. And I was tired of reading stories where the female was always secondary, never the lead, never the driving force behind the story. I created that world and intend to continue to write fiction with strong female leads (and robbers.)
To My Readers
I won't be penning books with violence as I am a pacifist.
There will be no religious messages hidden in my works, it is not my place to tell you what to believe.
I encourage parents to read my books with younger kids as I have high expectations.
